David has been the pastor of churches in his home state of Indiana and in Arizona.  He has started new congregations in Indiana and in the former Soviet Union.  He has traveled in 15 nations and visited most of the United States.  He loves learning and studying languages, and crossing cultures.  He enjoys open and honest conversations with spiritual seekers.  He enjoys time visiting family on the west coast, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, backpacking sections of the Appalachian Trail, or hiking in Brown County State Park while dreaming of the mountains. 

David loves living on Sam’s Hill along with his wife Shelly and the rest of their family.  He’s grateful for his friends at Parkview Church where he is enjoying his second go round as their pastor.  David has been a guest speaker in university classrooms and chapels, for retreats and camps, and in more than seventy different churches.  He still enjoys occasional opportunities to be a guest retreat speaker.    And he would always welcome your communication, or feedback regarding The Runaway Pastor.
